Warner Creams Gilmore in Fundraising

The Washington Post is reporting that Mark Warner outraised Jim Gilmore almost 10:1 in the 4th quarter of 2007- pulling in $2.7 million to Gilmore's $343,000. This goes on top of Warner's 3rd quarter take of $1.1 million.

Governor Warner also has an 18:1 in cash on hand advantage as well. Warner has $2.8 million and Gilmore has $165,000.

Warner's burn rate is pretty high at 26%, but the cash advantage is just so overwhelming.

I can't imagine him using it. If he gets behind in the polls it will be something he does (like Macaca) and money probably won't be able to bail him out.
