Standing For Change In South Carolina

I just got back from the big Get Out The Vote rally for the primary tomorrow.  There were over 2000 Obama activists there at 10:30 on Friday night. The crowd was pumped!  Barack Obama was introduced by former Governor Jim Hodges.  Former State Commissioner of Education and 2004 Democratic nominee for US Senate Inez Tenenbaum was one of the leading supporters introduced to the crowd.  She was a strong candidate against the Republican victor, Jim DeMint, and is a big player with the Obama campaign.

We do have an election tomorrow and I have to go to sleep. In case you are wondering, Barack is fired up!

Where was the rally? (Lowell - 1/26/2008 7:09:53 AM)
Were the people there young, old, black, white?  What were people talking about -- what's the buzz?!?  Details, my friend, details! :)

Also, photos and even video (Lowell - 1/26/2008 9:13:36 AM)
are always helpful, if at all possible.

Here's something to do (Lowell - 1/26/2008 7:10:21 AM)

Fired up and ready to go (Rebecca - 1/26/2008 5:17:37 PM)
Heard reps from all three campaigns at the CFDC meeting last Thursday and Mark Keam from the Obama campaign was definitely the most fired up and ready to go.

Here's something for you. A lot of disaffected Republicans are working for Obama. I guess they just can't stomach the socially conservative bunch at the Republican party anymore and they think Obama looks pretty good. I have a theory that this is the reason that Bill Clinton has been so hysterical lately. After all those years of Clintons' butt kissing Republicans (Sorry Lowell. I hope this language isn't out of line) Obama is getting the more independent ones simply by being who he is.

At any rate I think that's why Obama mentioned Ronald Reagan in his Nevada interview. I wish he would have said "I can do for the Democratic party what Regean did for the Republican party". I'm sure that's what he was getting at.

Congratulations, Lee! (Lowell - 1/27/2008 10:06:34 AM)
Now, on to...California?  New Jersey?  New York?  Then, on 2/12...Virginia!  Go Obama!!!
