Pointing out lies told by the Clinton campaign is a GOP talking point. Those right-wing whackos at NOW and NARAL have no shame....
I think we need to go through this process and really vette Hillary Clinton. There is so much that is troubling about her pas tbehavior and her behavior in this election that needs to be aired and tested. Let the voters hear the facts so they can make up their minds.
Now you tell me who is spinning racist remarks?
Your quote from Obama is Obama putting forward a premise for debate based on those facts. Obama's premise is that at some point in the future Hillary will be unable to unite the party. The evidence he offers to support that premise are the dishonest attacks Clinton launched.
I agree with Obama because I know that I will never cast a vote for Hillary Clinton, and I am a rock solid Democrat. I am sick of presidents who lie and I am unwilling to trade in lying George W. Bush for lying Hillary R. Clinton.
Now Hillary has to argue that she can unite the party and enough independents to win in November. With her high negatives that will be difficult to do. She can't even count on getting all serious Democrats to vote for her. I will not knowingly place another serial liar in the White House. I don't care if she is a Democrat: being a serial liar disqualifies Hillary Clinton in my book.
Negative? Yes.
Racist? No!
I think he can end the divisions of identity politics (see my diary about it).
I think a thorough examination of these tactics by voters is warranted.
Obama has presented himself as the candidate of hope and unity. This is powerful stuff. Obama could energies people so that he gets that breakthrough win.
How do you stop it? Simple: you discredit Obama by spoiling for a fight. This may be enough to get potential independent and undecided voters away and disillusioned by Obama. :)
What is the alternative? Present the behavior of Clinton without attacking her person. Keep the moral high ground. :)
It was a remarkable moment: A young, free-thinking presidential hopeful named Bill Clinton sat down with reporters and editors at The Post in October 1991 and started saying things most Democrats wouldn't allow to pass their lips.Ronald Reagan, Clinton said, deserved credit for winning the Cold War. He praised Reagan's "rhetoric in defense of freedom" and his role in "advancing the idea that communism could be rolled back."
"The idea that we were going to stand firm and reaffirm our containment strategy, and the fact that we forced them to spend even more when they were already producing a Cadillac defense system and a dinosaur economy, I think it hastened their undoing," Clinton declared.
Now all of this makes sense - that is why female voters in the 25-35 age bracket voted for her in NH, after she lost this group by huge margins in Iowa and was losing the same group nationwide.
And all of this was well known - but the Clinton campaign will say and do anything to win. Such sleaze....
It's pretty much on target. They are magnifying very small difference because their positions are so much alike.
It's bizarre.

It's not sleaze, it's finding a way to lose the general election.
