14 Co-Sponsors and Counting - Clean Energy Future Act Gains Speed

CLEAN ENERGY UPDATE FROM GROUND ZERO - RICHMOND VIRGINIA

Thanks to an excellent lobby day and great grassroots pressure, support for the Clean Energy Future Act (SB446) is growing.

As of this morning, 14 Senator and Delegates have given their support to this bold new vision for Virginia's energy future.

Recent additions include Senator Mary Margaret Whipple, Senator John Edwards (Roanoke, not North Carolina) and Delegate Dave Marsden. Who's next?

The bill will first go to the "Commission on Electric Utility Restructuring" this Monday, 7:30am.  I'll report on progress.  

The committee hearing will very likely be held February 4th, 2:00 PM in the Senate Commerce and Labor Committee.  I'll keep you posted.

Joe Bouchard has signed.  Also, Delegate Jim Scott signed on this morning.  None of the rest have signed.


I'm really glad to hear that Joe Bouchard (Lowell - 1/23/2008 1:49:50 PM)
has signed.  Same with Del. Scott.  Now, we need the others...and more.  C'mon guys, sign on to Chap's legislation!
