VPFF Endorses Pollard

Virginia Professional Firefighters endorse the candidacy of Albert Pollard.

Lively, VA - Albert Pollard, candidate for the House of Delegates was endorsed by the Virginia Professional Firefighters (VPFF) this week for his continued support of first responders not only in their efforts to protect firefighters and paramedics but in their efforts to make the Commonwealth a safer place in which to live and work. Pollard's candidacy was endorsed at the 17^th annual legislative conference in Richmond where the group is based.

Pleased to hear of the endorsement, Pollard stated, "While the vast majority of local responders are volunteers, most of the Commonwealth trusts the Virginia Professional Firefighters with the task of responding to our most dire emergencies. I am humbled that they support me and have endorsed my candidacy."

Made up of firefighters, paramedics and other emergency responders, the Virginia Professional Firefighters has over 7,000 members. The VPFF was formed in 1955 and acts as an advocate for Virginia's first responders.

Pollard represented the 99th District from 2000 to 2006. He is currently running for that seat which has been vacated by now Congressman Rob Wittman. The special election is to be held on Tuesday February 19th. For more information call 804-462-5940.
