Very Sad News

From Arlington County Democratic Committee chair Peter Rousselot comes this very sad news:

I am terribly sorry to report that Kennan Garvey,  the husband of Arlington School Board member Libby Garvey, died last evening of  a heart attack. On behalf of all Arlington Democrats, I want to extend our  deepest sympathy to Libby and her family.

I didn't know Kennan very well, but from everything I've heard, he was a great guy.  My deepest condolences to my friend Libby Garvey, a wonderful public servant (and huge Webb supporter during 2006).

I worked with Kennan for many years and you're absolutely right -- he was a fine man.  My sympathies to Libby and the rest of the Garvey family.
