Image hosted by Photobucket.comThis past Monday, Governor-elect Tim Kaine hosted a "Moving Virginia Forward" transportation town hall meeting in Roanoke.  At the forum, Kaine held a discussion with Virginians about building on the success of the Warner-Kaine Administration and improving our state's transportation system.  Over the next two weeks, Kaine will hold four more of these meetings.  During the campaign, of course, Tim Kaine pledged numerous times to make transportation a top priority for his administration.  Now, he's started living up to his promise, and that's great news.  So attend one of these events, and tell the Governor-elect what you think should be done to unravel Virginia's transportation gridlock!

Matt, I'm in Fairfax, too, and you're right, it is difficult for anyone to get to Manassas... that's exactly what the meeting is going to be about, right? I have to sit on a Professional Standards panel (sort of like being a judge) and that hearing starts at 1:30 and can run five hours or more. No one can be sure how long it will take for some one from the inner suburbs to drive to what is essentially the far side of Manassas, and I sure don't want the meeting to start any earlier than planned. I'd like 7:30 myself.
