Why the "kill two birds" title? Well, if this car lives up to its hype, it'll get great gas milage (around 100 mpg - better for the environment than any current hybrid) and take up as much room as a motorcycle - meaning, in theory, that we could double the capacity of our roads if everyone got one of these. Ok, that's not realistic, but as a single person commuter vehicle they could make a huge dent in rush hour gridlock with minor changes to the roads and related traffic rules.
Since it has car like features (a protected cockpit for safety and to keep the driver out of the elements) and car like driving controls, it's not unrealistic to think regular people would be able to use this thing.
Plus, it looks like a hell of a lot of fun to drive.
