Johnny Camacho, Kenton Ngo, Dan Geroe and Aimee Fausser, and I will be on Blog Talk Radio at 7 tonight.

The topics will be potential Democratic targets around the country in '08, Creigh's recent announcement of his intent to run for governor, and whatever else we happen to stumble upon in the course of discussion.

UPDATE: It was an excellent show (Johnny Camacho did a wonderful job organizing and hosting the show)... Some of the highlights include:

1) Congresswoman Leslie Byrne called into the show and spent a good 10-15 minutes discussing her race... That was truly unexpected- and she had alot of great points and insights on her 2008 race. (Thanks Leslie!)

2) Creigh Deeds' announcement received an exceptionally strong reception among the young activists on the call- In fact all but one of the panelists was ready to hand the nomination to Senator Deeds (Kenton was undecided while everyone else- including myself- thinks Creigh is an exceptional candidate that will lead Democrats to a 3rd term in the Governor's mansion and more importantly that he has the experience to become a truly excellent governor in the mold of Mark Warner)

3) Kenton Ngo and Dan Geroe arguing over Brian and Creigh's accents and what impact they will have on the 2009 race was very... insightful :)

I haven't gone by Dannyboy since October.

Like I said over the thing, (DanG - 12/17/2007 1:29:14 AM)
The accents themselves won't make a difference at all.  It's what Republicans will use Brian's accent to portray.  Unfairly, I might add.  They'll call him a "New England Liberal."  Which is entirely unfair, as Brian Moran is a loyal, hardworking Virginian.  Anybodyh who says otherwise is full of it.  But Republicans will go after him and compare him to Ted Kennedy and John Kerry and such.  An unfair comparison, but one that exists.  Creigh's southern accent is hardly noticeable, and I just don't think will come into play at all.

It's shows the sad, bitter, partisan state of politics when a candidates accent has to be taken into account in his candidacy.  Frankly, I find it depressing.  But make no mistake, the Rovian Republicans will use it against him.
