By a vote of 27-9 today, the Virginia Senate approved a ruling by Tim Kaine that the ?ousting? of Senator H. Russell Potts from his committee posts in the Senate would not be considered during today?s one day legislative session. (dailypress )Potts, a Republican State Senator, is running as an "independent Republican" in the Virginia governor's race. His decision to do so has had the Kilgore campaign in full frenzy mode for weeks now.
The question is, why? Is Russ Potts so terrifying that Republicans, particularly the Kilgore campaign, feel the need to strip him of Senate committee posts he has held for years? Is Jerry Kilgore really THAT scared of Potts eating into his support from conservative voters, and handing the election to Tim Kaine?
