DonorsChoose.org Helps Virginia Teachers

DonorsChoose.org, founded by a social studies teacher from the Bronx named Charles Best, is an innovative approach to supporting public education.  Citizens and businesses of any size can visit this online marketplace (www.DonorsChoose.org/VA) to donate to meaningful classroom projects submitted by public school teachers.

To date, "citizen philanthropists" using DonorsChoose.org have funded more than 33,000 projects and directed $15.1 million in resources to more than 700,00 students across the country!  And now, DonorsChoose.org is available to all public schools in Virginia.
