Then he endorses Fred Thompson, a candidate with a close-to-nothing chance of becoming the Republican nominee
Then he calls his own defeat a "close election" in which he made a "mistake." Yeah... big mistake buddy... everyone knows about it.
Now he's going to run for Governor again. Sad thing is, he's not a losing candidate yet, but it will be interesting to see what he does in 2008 after Fred loses and he just has his esteemed successor from Richmond, His Excellency Jim Gilmore, to pay attention to. Will enough Republicans be convinced of his loser-ishness to pick McDonnell as their nominee in '09? I wouldn't rule that out...
WHAT A DOLT!! (ub40fan - 12/3/2007 9:25:19 AM)

an unemployed dolt bothers me a whole lot less than the Dolt-in-Chief. Hmm, that would abbreviate to DIC...
Are we allowed to swear on this blog? (Barbara - 12/3/2007 7:15:46 PM)
What an idiot he is. Can he really be so out of touch to think that Fred Thompson has any chance? I wish he'd just go away and take his lovely wife with him. I cringe thinking he could actually have a shot in 2009.
So much anger... (Silence Dogood - 12/4/2007 1:20:18 PM)
Am I the only one that found this completely hilarious? Who knows better than George Allen that the internet is indeed the greatest invention since the Gutenberg press for dissemination of information and ideas? After all, what better evidence is there for this claim than the youtube video that made its way through the blogs to CNN and ruined his career?
