Bolling and Attorney General Robert F. McDonnell, both possible candidates for governor, hosted hospitality suites Friday night. McDonnell's was particularly well attended because he brought in two Washington Redskins cheerleaders to sign pictures of the squad in their game-day outfits. McDonnell's wife, Maureen, was a Redskins cheerleader from 1974 to 1976.
That's right, it looks like Bob McDonnell has a major advantage over Bill Bolling as they gear up for 2009 governor's race: the Washington Redskins cheerleading squad. What's Bolling going to do to top this, take over from Joe Gibbs and figure out how the Redskins can start winning again?
Prob won't happen, but, if he were savvy, he'd go up to New England and say to Pioli, "Hey, aren't you sick of Belichick getting all the credit? I'll pay you $5 mill/per to rejuvenate this franchise, and you have an unlimited budget." Hell, Snyder could pay for that by just axing two or three of these overpaid coaches.
My $.02.
The glory days ain't returning. The 'Skins are a mess.
