Sunday morning football open thread

With the Hokies finally beating Florida State for the first time and the Hoos demolishing Miami by 48 points in the Orange Bowl finale, both teams will meet in two weeks for the Coastal Division title and a trip to the ACC Championship Game. Virginia is now 9-2 for the season with a bye next week, and Virginia Tech is now 8-2 with a home game against the reeling Hurricanes. Seems like a changing of the guard, with the ACC power shifting from Florida to the Commonwealth.
Elsewhere in the Commonwealth, Richmond won the CAA South title by beating Delaware 62-56 in five overtimes. And JMU crushed William & Mary, 55-34.
So, are you a Hokie or Hoo that wants to do some early smack talk? Do you have other games to crow or cry about? Or do you want to talk some pro football? Have at it in this open thread.

Tech is gonna CRUSH UVA (DanG - 11/11/2007 11:21:14 AM)
Like we always do. How many points did you lose by last year? 40? :)
Oh, that's gonna be brutal.
Bye bye UVA! (Matusleo - 11/11/2007 6:39:19 PM)
You bet Tech will crush UVA! It's one of my favorite yearly rituals! Go Hokies!

In the CAA... (Chris from ASL - 11/11/2007 10:34:17 AM)
the power has always been in VA (this year it is shifting back here from Massachusetts). All I have to say is that I am proud of my JMU Dukes, beating our rival W&M yesterday. If we win next week, we'll be in the running for the playoffs!
Correction, Rob- (MikeSizemore - 11/11/2007 7:21:43 PM)
Yesterday was the 11th time Virginia Tech has defeated Florida State.
As for UVa....ha....gonna be another blowout!
Hoos don't have a chance (MFleenor - 11/12/2007 12:59:18 AM)
and when somebody says that the game is in Charlottesville, I just laugh and remind them that Scott ain't nothing compared to Lane. Our boys will think they are whispering up there in Jefferson country.
