I got a kick out of this morning's print edition of the Richmond Times-Dispatch

That they need to take off their shoes so they can count correctly.
Must have been an early edition (Ken C. - 11/7/2007 12:14:24 PM)
Here in Richmond our headlines were "Democrats declare control of Va. Senate". They just couldn't bring themselves to say they had lost the Senate. I say "themselves" as the Times-Disgrace is one of the most stomach-turning "Red State" mouthpieces I have ever seen. After all Eric Cantor's wife sits on Media General's (the parent company of the Disgrace)BOD.
hah! (noonan - 11/7/2007 12:54:29 PM)
What maroons! Luckily Eric Cantor will be done for soon -- in 2010 we'll see FAIR redistricting, and then in 2012 we can run a great candidate against him and WIN!

Is that a republican rag?
Yeah (legacyofmarshall - 11/7/2007 12:58:57 PM)
Even the fairly even (and Democrat-endorsing) Virginian Pilot front page today talked about a "Republican Surge" and big GOP wins.
Mhmm... that would explain John Miller, Ralph Northam, Bobby Mathieson, Joe Bouchard, and Paula Miller all winning in the readership area of said newspaper.

I vaguely remember the winner of a mock headline contest for the Richmond Times-Dispatch, announcing the end of the world.
"Governor Appoints Commission to Investigate Void at Commonwealth's Border."
