Moving Virginia Forward Raises $1.057 Million in Third Quarter of 2007, Contributes over $500,000 to Legislative Candidates - $1 Million Plus Remains on Hand(Richmond) - Governor Tim Kaine's Political Action Committee, Moving Virginia Forward, announced today that it has raised $1,057,538 in the third quarter of 2007. After expenses, Moving Virginia Forward now maintains $1,044,748 cash on hand.
Moving Virginia Forward made contributions in excess of $500,000 to legislative candidates in the third quarter of 2007. The major contributions to candidates were as follows:

Margi Vanderhye - $20,000The PAC's fundraising efforts were bolstered by a $1 Million Gala Fundraiser held at the Ritz-Carlton in Pentagon City on September 25th.

Friends of Mark Warner raised $1,109,080.69 for the Federal Election Committee (FEC) period ending September 30, 2007. Governor Mark Warner became a candidate for U.S. Senate on September 13, 2007.Friends of Mark Warner will report cash-on-hand of $1,017,025.75.
