According to the Falls Church News-Press:

Cox Cable Television has announced that its video tape of the full Sept. 13 debate between Virginia gubernatorial candidates Tim Kaine, a Democrat, and Jerry Kilgore, a Republican, will be replayed twice daily between now and election day, Nov. 8. The telecasts will be on Channel 35 on Cox cable each day at both 8 a.m. and 9 p.m.

The debate, held in McLean, was sponsored by the Fairfax County Chamber of Commerce and featured Tim Russert of NBC news as the moderator.

You know, Jerry Kilgore had better hope to high heaven that very few people are watching TV over the next 10 days, or that Cox Cable suddenly goes out of business or something, because this was Kilgore's "total meltdown" debate.  The "highlight," of course, was the following exchange between Jerry Kilgore and Tim Russert on abortion, a red hot issue right now as President Bush prepares to appoint a right-wing, anti-Roe judge to the Supreme Court.  Women of Virginia, how "warm and fuzzy" a feeling does THIS exchange give you?

When Russert pressed Kilgore on whether he?d support outlawing abortion in the event that the U.S. Supreme Court overturned Roe Vs. Wade, Kilgore refused to respond, saying the question was ?hypothetical.?

Russert then shot back, ?Would you veto a tax increase if it was voted by the state legislature?? Kilgore responded in knee-jerk fashion, ?Yes, unless it was supported by a referendum.?

?That was a hypothetical question,? Russert snapped, and the audience roared in laughter at the contradiction. Kilgore, appearing confused as if he hadn?t figured out what just happened, then gave another defense of his tax policy.

That's right, the question of abortion is HYPOTHETICAL to Jerry Kilgore.  And the audience -- in other words, the voters of Virginia -- will ALL "roar with laughter" as they watch Jerry "the Duck" make this absurd assertion on Cox Cable the next 10 days.  That's right, watching this debate is great for some serious hilarity; I strongly recommend it if you're having friends over and you all want a good laugh.  Jerry Kilgore for Governor of Virginia?  Frankly, that's a question that should never be anything but "hypothetical!"
