P.S. Also see NLS for parade counts.

We had a fantastic turn out yesterday for Centreville Days.  Democrats came out in huge numbers.  It was terrific to see alot of Webb supporters come out to Sully District to show their support and march with us.  We need to take the three State Senate races in Fairfax to get the majority back.  Let's do it. I think we set a record yesterday for number of people who showed up to support the Democratic ticket.  There had to be over three hundred people marching in the annual Centreville Days parade.  God job everyone.
Let's turn this state BLUE.

I was also at the parade.... (Ambivalent Mumblings - 9/16/2007 1:15:34 PM)
.... and went helped out at the Dems' both during the festival. We definitely had a great showing. I'll be posting a write up with photos tomorrow.

Way to go, Team Dems! (bigforkgirl - 9/16/2007 3:47:48 PM)
I love to hear about CV Days, and the huge increase of Dems marching.  The change since 2003 is enormous, thanks to the hard work of the Sully Dems and the Clifton Women Dems.  Karen says hi to all her friends in Cville and the Sully district.

I was there (LAS - 9/16/2007 4:32:40 PM)
not with the Dems; the Million Mom March had a booth (we are in the midst of our "postcard to the governor" campaign re the Va Tech Panel recommendations.)

In any case, the first time I went to this parade and fair was in 2000. I have to tell you, it is way more "blue" nowadays than it was back then. Centreville--like the rest of the county and state--is changing. Come to think of it, we (MMM of NoVA)had a lot more positive response than we did back in 2000. There was even a "Equality Fairfax" booth at the fair this year. A very good sign!
