CQ Politics is out with its latest party unity and presidential support scores for every member of Congress.  Here are the results for Virginia's delegation.  The percentages are for 2007, with 2006 in parentheses for comparison.

Party Unity
Jo Ann Davis (R-1): 91% (87%)
Thelma Drake (R-2): 94% (97%)

Robert C. Scott (D-3): 98% (95%)
J. Randy Forbes (R-4): 93% (93%)
Virgil H. Goode Jr. (R-5): 94% (93%)
Robert W. Goodlatte (R-6): 94% (99%)
Eric Cantor (R-7): 99% (98%)

James P. Moran (D-8): 97% (90%)
Rick Boucher (D-9): 94% (79%)

Frank R. Wolf (R-10): 76% (85%)
Thomas M. Davis III (R-11): 77% (86%)

Sen. Jim Webb (D): 87% (n/a)
Sen. John Warner (R): 80% (81%)

It's interesting that "party unity" scores for Frank Wolf and Tom Davis fell noticeably during the past year.  What could THAT have been about?

(Presidential support scores on the "flip")
Presidential Support
Jo Ann Davis (R-1): 33% (87%)
Thelma Drake (R-2): 84% (95%)

Robert C. Scott (D-3): 1% (27%)
J. Randy Forbes (R-4): 77% (93%)
Virgil H. Goode Jr. (R-5): 82% (82%)
Robert W. Goodlatte (R-6): 80% (95%)
Eric Cantor (R-7): 94% (95%)

James P. Moran (D-8): 4% (33%)
Rick Boucher (D-9): 4% (33%)

Frank R. Wolf (R-10): 57% (80%)
Thomas M. Davis III (R-11): 63% (85%)

Sen. Jim Webb (D): 49% (n/a)
Sen. John Warner (R): 83% (91%)

Support for the president falls off a cliff, except for Eric Cantor, Virgil Goode, Randy Forbes, Bob Goodlatte, Thelma Drake and John Warner.

P.S.  Just for comparison purposes, Russ Feingold supports Bush the same percentage as Webb, 49%. Hillary Clinton's at 46% and Barack Obama's at 53%.

Presidential Support after Patreus (Teddy - 9/4/2007 4:46:04 PM)
whitewash report will undoubtedly go up. It will be interesting to see how it looks then.

Things to note on Webb's numbers (DanG - 9/4/2007 4:54:53 PM)
Webb's 49% may look scary to some Dems, but he's definitely in the lower 3rd when it comes to supporting Bush.  However, when it comes to party loyalty, Webb is also very low (comparitively), being 39th most loyal out of 49 Democrats.  He's found himself at home with other moderates/centrists like Tester, Dorgan, etc.

Webb truly is independently minded.  He's not the President's man or Harry Reid's man.  Some people may not like that, and as much as I appreciate it, I can't help but think that such ratings won't help in the VP nomination process.

Presidential support (KCinDC - 9/4/2007 5:21:12 PM)
Yeah, the presidential support numbers don't go any lower than 42. The Senate must have had a lot of near-unanimous, noncontroversial votes that Bush nevertheless took a position on. I wonder why it's so different from the House.

Also, Drake is a hack (DanG - 9/4/2007 6:05:01 PM)
Clearly, these numbers show that Thelma is in the pocket of both the party AND the President.  There isn't an independent thought in her small, squat head.

Hey Henrico, Goochland, Louisa, Hanover Counties (AmerIdiot - 9/4/2007 6:09:23 PM)
Will you show us what stupid cattle you are and continue to vote for Cantor?
