What's Up, "Doc" Welch?

Delegate John Welch (R-21) has been caught "doctoring" his biography as listed with the General Assembly. What a hoot!
"Doctor" John Welch has a degree in chiropractic, which has been listed as a Ph.D. since he's been in the General Assembly. He claims the General Assembly staff was responsible for this misinformation, but THERE'S A DOCUMENT WITH HIS INITIALS SHOWING HE SIGNED OFF ON IT. (They really do dislike him up there.)
Here's the story from the Virginian-Pilot that spans the whole headline of today's Hampton Roads section.
This revelation gives new meaning to the title "Doctor" Welch uses for his fundraisers each year... "Crack 'em and Rack 'em". Ouch! "I'm not a doctor, but I play one in Richmond." This is rich!
P.S. Go Bobby Mathieson!

It's Pretty Obvious that "Doctor" Welch Doesn't Have a Ph.D. (spotter - 8/31/2007 8:24:52 AM)
Anyone who has ever heard "Doctor" Welch talk knows he doesn't have a Ph.D. He's a walking, talking advertisement for ignorance.
But he does have more education than our other Hampton Roads embarrassment, Thelma Drake.
What's the Difference? (spotter - 8/31/2007 9:12:34 AM)
What's the difference between a Ph.D. and a chiropractic degree? Plenty. According to its
website, Parker College of Chiropractic, the school "Doctor" Welch attended, is a nine-trimester, three year program. A Ph.D.? Well, that requires a B.A. or B.S. degree, a Master's degree, more years of classes, years of study and research, a dissertation involving original research and approval by a tough, tough committee, and any other demand that committee or sponsor requires. John Welch does not even have a grasp of basic grammar or the English language. There's no way he could legitimately claim any of these achievements. No wonder he decided to claim a degree he doesn't have. It's much simpler.
Fake (VA Breeze - 8/31/2007 10:03:43 AM)
Welch seems to have been busy worrying about his own status and financial state instead of concentrating on working for the people of the Commonwealth.
Does he read the stuff he signs?
to Welch- let us say in Nov.: "That's all Folks!"
