It will significantly increase Doug's statewide and national visibility if his diary gets enough recommends to jump up to the recommended list.
What about Andy Hurst (JohnB - 8/25/2007 10:44:40 PM)
Is Andy running? He did a great job against Tom Davis last time. If he wants to run Democrats should be supporting him in 2008.

Not sure what Andy's plans are. I do think, however, he needs to make peace with his strong stand against taking PAC money if he runs again. My thought would be take it and say thank you....any group giving PAC money to Andy would have to know by this time, Andy isn't for sale.
Andy would also be a more mature candidate this time. He hopefully would know who his true friends are and who he can truly count on for support.
For those looking for an alternative to Gerry, Andy would certainly be that. A debate between the two would prove most "interesting"
As for a primary run including Doug Denneny, Andy would do just fine on military issues. Those of us who attended the Iraq debate between Andy and Ken Longmyer remember it well! More than once, the crowd rose to their feet clapping following Andy's comments. As I remember, more yard signs were given out at that event than any other.
