The Clintons, while in the White House, had been accused by the moral Republicans of allowing only the big moneygivers into the hallowed bedchamber. As the Washington Post finally reported after this B.S. had gained great currency amongst those who would believe Bill Clinton guilty of ANY offense, including the rapes of the Sabines and Singapore, a chart showed that less than 50% (if my memory is correct) of those he invited were contributors. If course, if he invited those he knew, isn't it likely that friends and fellow Democrats WOULD be likely contributors? Others were either friends or someone of importance, I assume, but they were not Rangers or whatever. Hell, I gave, and I didn't care to pass the night with Abe or Monica, either. A Google search will confirm the publication of the chart.
So please, John, don't repeat the garbage of the Right. We like you for your sunny disposition and verbal support of the disadvantaged. We don't give a rat's a-- what you pay for your haircut and how large your home is. None of us expects you to go to my $7.00 barber or with your money live in a 2,400 sq. ft. home with a toilet that doesn't flush right.
