Officially launching August 25, 2007, Generation Obama (GO) is a nationwide program with chapters across the country designed to get young people involved in Barack Obama's UNPRECEDENTED presidential campaign, which has gained 258,000 DONORS and MILLIONS OF FOLLOWERS inspired by a MOVEMENT FOR CHANGE in Washington based on the AUDACITY OF HOPE for a better America.
As Barack would say, this is not hope for Democrat people or Republican people....this is hope for the American people.
AND THE TIME FOR HOPE IS NOW.
IT'S TIME.....to TURN THE PAGE on the era of partisan bickering and political gridlock when our country must urgently reform our policies on national security, health care, immigration, education, poverty and fiscal responsibility.
IT'S TIME....to build consensus on COMMON SENSE SOLUTIONS WITHOUT UNFAIR INFLUENCE of big money from special interests....therefore Senator Obama does not accept money from Federal lobbyists.
IT'S TIME.....for the REAL LEADERSHIP and IDEAS that come from good judgment and effective governance (like questioning the War in Iraq before it started) ....not recycling yesterday's attack points.
IT's TIME....for someone with a DIVERSE and VARIED BACKGROUND (including the MOST PUBLIC OFFICE EXPERIENCE among the front runners) who understands the perspectives of both foreign leaders and average Americans....so much so that he already has the necessary general election-type SUPPORT of people from ACROSS PARTY LINES.
IT'S TIME....for GENERATION OBAMA.
The YOUNG PEOPLE who make up "Generation Obama" UNDERSTAND THAT IT'S TIME more than any other age group.
This initiative is so important because Senator OBAMA IS LEADING in the national polls AMONG THE 18-29 DEMOGRAPHIC, as studies show the up and coming "Millenial" Generation is more progressive and hungry for a "New Kind of Politics" than ever before. This voting population is also growing fast and will soon be larger than the baby boomers.
