You see, I hate Tricia Stall. Like most hatreds in the world, this one stems from fear.
I'm afraid of Tricia Stall because of what she believes in. To understand my fear, one need look no further than her platform.
- Tricia Stall will never vote to raise our taxes
My comment: Sadly, we are forced to believe that legislators in Virginia who promise to never raise taxes mean it when they say never. Education, transportation, and the general welfare of the people take a back seat to these people's desire to give the Mars brothers their millions back.
- She abhors the concept of regional government
My comment: Well, that clinches it, not only will she never raise taxes, she'll never let NoVA or Hampton Roads raise their own revenue. Next thing you know she'll work to abolish the most basic fiscal right of localities in Virginia, the right to levy property taxes.
- She has signed the ATR (Americans for Tax Reform) Tax Pledge and will work to bring our property taxes down.
My comment: There you go, abolish the Board of Supervisors!
- Tricia Stall is a concealed carry owner and gun enthusiast.
My comment: It's possible to be pro-gun rights without lugging a pistol around. Is she trigger-happy? Or maybe she's just afraid of minorities?
- Tricia Stall will carry and vote for legislation that will make Virginia the most unfavorable state in the Union for illegal aliens.
My comment: You know she's just aching to remove the world `illegal' from her policy. People like Stall thrive on the politics of fear. She'll convince us that we need to drive away illegal immigrants and therefore we need to elect people who will make their lives miserable. I have a question for you Virginia voter: when was the last time an illegal immigrant robbed your house? When was the last time an illegal immigrant bagged your groceries? Remember what Franklin Roosevelt said about fear?
- She will never support legislation to de-fund public schools.
My comment: Who seriously needs to tout this on their literature? Oh yeah, someone who signed a petition that specifically states: "I proclaim publicly that I favor ending
government involvement in education." It's up to voters to decide whether Primary Stall or General Election Stall is the true candidate, but I wouldn't exactly take that risk, and just go ahead and vote for John Miller.
My concerns are for the Commonwealth of Virginia. I want Democrats to control the General Assembly, but even if we do gain a majority in the Senate but let Tricia Stall win in the 1st Senate District, I'd consider that a failure. There are a lot of bad candidates out there this year; above is my argument that Ms. Stall is the worst.
