Nowhere in his speech extolling the virtues of being in Viet Nam and the faultiness of leaving, because it forever ruined us in the world's eyes, did he mention his reasons for continuing his college cheerleader prancing and total avoidance of his Air National Guard duties, much less his unwillingness to volunteer for active duty in that "necessary" conflict.
As usual, he got all the applause lines in. And applaud they did, these guys who fought bravely for what they believed in, while, I'm sure, despising the protestors back home who refused to serve. But their applause was unwarranted for this inhabitant of that 10th circle of hell, that circle reserved for the hypocrital cowards who will urge the hapless, the poor and the foolish to fight for a cause for which the immoral cowards themselves refuse to fight.
With spurious comparisons and jingoistic hot air, this prancing-in-a-flight-suit-he-was-unworthy- to-wear president vilified reason and logic, preferring to continue to let brave men and women die in order that they may continue to go door to door and be shot at or drive over landmined roads forever (a.k.a. "The Mission). Rotten tomatoes, not applause, should have been the proper tribute for this dissembler's phony rhetoric.
Wake up America, speak up, speak out, don't let him continue to get away with this.
As soon as I find a transcript, I'll be posting again.
